You are correct, it didn't have a typical stepside or fleetside bed because there isn't any bed mounting stands. That's where I am with my 66. It had a utility box. You'll want to get stands off a 60-62. I need 63-66. .

Your truck looks really nice. Are you going to put a fleetside or stepside on it? That orange should be pretty easy to match.
