Having done a full size axle swap on my AD, I would suggest against.. I know it can and has been done..
Like Russ said, if that's what you want, go for it...but it's not gonna be easy..
Do you have shop space and tools, equipment, experience,and help needed to do it, ? Just asking..
The biggest thing I hate about mine is how far the tires and wheels stick out from under the fenders..
But also the donor frame width creates problems, nothing sits like you think it should, mounts wind up over the frame rails,steering issues, mine was man trans, that created problems as well..
Bottom line , I did a tremendous amount of work, only to be disappointed in the end..
I've often wandered if a jeep would make a better donor for a 4wd AD...also a lot of work..
But I'm past wanting my AD as a 4wd, and am in the process of making it back into 2wd.
