You need a 38-604 hood latch rather than a 38-603. 604 is 58/59 while 603 is 55/57.

38-603 55/57 on top 38-604 on Bottom

I think 1project2many spotted it and nailed the handle needs to be bent/straightened to clear. as I think that is the only difference in the two.

Note Classic parts showed the front side of the 603 and the back side of the 604.

It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
