New to me, 81 GMC Ice Cream Sandwich

Hi Everyone,
It's been a while since I've been here, I made the difficult decision to get rid of my "69'er" 69 Chevy C/20 Custom Camper that I had for over 10 years because it was too nice and I wanted something to just bomb around in. I got the racing itch again and crew on a big block dirt modified that runs in NY so my car show schedule shrunk considerably. IMO the worse thing you can do with a vehicle is just let it sit so off to Colorado the Niner went.
In its place I got this 81 GMC Sierra 2500 with a no emissions 454. It gets a miserable 9-10 MPG but I can take it anywhere with no worries. Originally it was a Texas truck; a friend of mine down the road from me bought it a few years ago. I talked him into switching the alloys to steel wheels when he got it. Recently he was looking to buy a tractor so I wound up getting it from him.
All I've done to it is ditch the bumperettes, get some bigger Michelins, put some Bilsteins on it, and clean up under the hood and get different air cleaner to match valve covers.
So far I'm pretty happy with it. It doesn't get anywhere near the attention the Niner got, but I've got a soft spot for the color brown - my first vehicle was a brown 79 Jeep Cherokee. I like this two tone paint scheme, it reminds me of an ice cream sandwich, hence the name.
