My stepdad had one of the last generation (1971). I should have bought it when they sold it, but he wanted the cabover camper to go with it and it was just too much at the time.
For a year I drove a Loadstar school bus with 345 & 5 speed. I thought those were pretty nice trucks. Lots of low end, you could get out of some slippery spots by starting in 3rd gear.
