He!! yes, im with the rest of the guys....you built a hotrod for fun! stuff a fresh 400 t in it, you wont break it too easy! i ran a stock overhaul , that I did on a 400 T for ten yrs in my longhorn......not high miles, but beat to he!!. that thing ran 2 hopped 455 Olds mills, a 425 Cad, & was gutted & stuck in a Chev case (nothing but seals on the swap)to run a mild 355, & spent some time behind my 383. i also agree on the 4x4, I have the ulgyest(is that a word) 78,79, & 80 K 20 (yes, all in 1 d@mn truck!) with a flatbed, & a camper special stack on the rear ,I can haul a ton on that old truck ....no problem. in low range on the T case, I can pretty much push a 4000 lb vehicle anywhere I want(sideways!) Dont ask about that tho... crazyL
