That report that you are referring to is 8 years old, they have been significantly re-engineered, since then.
I have NEVER had a problem with any product that I purchased from Summit, or CPP.
I have installed several CPP steering columns, and each has performed well.

The report that you cite is from May 2013, (8 years ago)
