But there's no electronics to hurt on my truck. Seems pretty safe to me. Check to see if the alternator is putting our enough voltage to run the truck and charge the battery.

if your truck has a generator it wont care. But alternators have diodes inside of them. They can blow if you pull a power cable while it is running
