Many, many years ago, I too had issues with my driveshaft. I was replacing U-joints and such trying to get rid of vibrations.

I finally gave in and threw in the towel and took it to a shop. They replaced all of the U-joints, the center support bearing, and balanced it. I couldn't believe what a difference it made. That was nearly 20 years ago and I have had to replace one faulty U-joint and the center support bearing once last year. I've been thinking of pulling it out again and having the same shop go through and rework everything again.


I think you made a smart move and hope that cures your vibrations issues as well.
