I see a lot of threads on here about people trying to replace GMC turn signal sockets. I am making this post so that people looking for this information in the future don’t have to ask again… If only we all used the search function!
I went to AutoZone and bought a Dorman 85818 replacement light socket. It takes an 1157 bulb and fits great into the housing. It is Chinese made, so it may need a little tweaking like mine did. Something that I will fix in the future is that the wires are a thinner gauge than the original socket, but for now it will work. At least I have front turn signals now
