After a little research, I'm starting to second guess myself.

The 2-piece hummer OE steel wheels along with a PVC bead-locker is something that I can mount a tire in my driveway without a tire shop (and without ether/fire). That is a definite benefit but would mean sticking with 16.5" tires.

I may want to go with 2 piece hummer steel 16.5 wheels. The question is whether the supply of surplus 16.5 tires is going to dry up in the near future.
