Sounds like a dream to me. Snowed in at the cabin would be a gas, as long as you have your provisions together. My everyday house is an old log home with a woodstove. I feel right at home (pun) when snowed in. I keep drinking and utility water in store, plus there are two stream and a spring. Candles, kerosene lamps, cupboards and freezer kept full, and beer! I like that plan Tim. I guess my favorite thing about snow is the quietness of it all. Things start getting quiet as the snow begins falling and once a few inches have accumulated it's like everything else has shut down to enjoy the
peacefulness. I have mentioned numerous times about the wife and I heading out to Colorado for a snowy Christmas vacation but she's just not interested. Don't want to get snowed in for longer than we planned.
