Not sure if I'm reading that tank picture right, but it looks like you are bolting it in from the bottom which means that you're not able to use the flange of the tank to carry its weight and the weight of the fuel. Am I seeing that right? If that's the case, then you only have the surface area of the heads of the bolts holding it up and that would concern me. Can you bolt it up with some flat or angle stock that spans the length of the flange?

I have .878” coverage on the m10 flange bolt. The flange of the tank is 3/16”. I thought about adding some support but haven’t gotten that far. What would you use as far as flat stock? Angle would be pointless imo. Some tanks are held in with straps that run along the bottom of the tank and still end up with smaller bolts on either end holding the tank. Any insight is appreciated.
