I'm using PC-7 for filler. It was recommended by Eastwood, but I made up their steering wheel kit by getting all the components locally. PC-7 was at Ace hardware and the Auto Prep, and Self Etching Primer I got at PepBoys. I don't know if it was any cheaper but there was no wait and I had the stuff in hand. Also had to buy a taper file (Ace) and a close quarter hacksaw(Loews). I used popsicle sticks moistened in alcohol to spread the PC-7 after chasing the cracks with the hacksaw blade and then widening the grooves with the V-shaped taper file.
Currently I'm still sanding down the many compound angles on the spokes. after it's back to it's original shape I shoot it with the Prep spray. When that dries Self-Etch Primer. After a couple coats of primer-- I have a can of '68 Silver Fawn Irridescent Lacquer I will complete the wheel with. It's a good match for my '68 stepside's factory interior. I used it on the trim and gauge circles around the dash pad. I got the fawn spraypaint at the Paddock, but it wasn't cheap.
Hope this helps.
