I daily drive an 03 Chevy with a 6.0L. The fuel mileage is terrible. I might as well have a carbureted 454 in it. Most guys I know with trucks have them because that’s what they are into. Gas could go to $10 a gallon and they would still keep the truck. They would just buy a work car to go along with it.
