When I had mine blow out, I tried two different cores from two different places. They were both exactly 1/2 inch too thin. I ended up having mine re-cored for about $80 at a local shop. It was worth it to me.

Oh, and now's a good time to put on a 12 or 13 pound radiator cap. You don't need a high pressure cap and the heater core will thank you.
