I only mention these things in case your goal is originality - but for a custom or upgrade look, the sky's the limit! I too like k10 steppers with white steelies, but if I EVER end up with one in the driveway, I'm gonna have to go black and capless ! Love your k10 stepper, very nice truck.

Thanks Jocko. I always value your opinions and also your information. For instance I had no idea that black steelies was the original offering. As you can probably see I am breaking a few of the originality rules for appearance sake. The grill borrows things from the 68s but that is because I like the look. I am just trying to find something that looks original even though it may have not been original. I had heard that white caps were not available but I traded for a very nice set of 69-72 1/2 ton caps that someone else had already powder coated white, so once again I am trying to use what I have. I figure I should be able to cut the holes for the front caps myself although I would be glad to have it done by someone who really knows what they are doing. Thanks again for your help and opinion.
BTW this truck was originally red, and not a two-tone. At least I did the correct 67 two-tone paint job, but the original GM red did not turn me on, and since I stripped the whole truck inside and out I decided to change the color. Don't tell anyone.
