. Basically, I forget it's there. This is the 3rd time doing that shower, so I've been apprehensive about doing it 110% to be sure it would last. New better products are out there which use different techniques. Money was a problem at first, because that Schluter stuff is pricey. Also, plenty more to do around here that was a bigger priority. I've had the Schluter stuff probably 5 years. I've redone the exterior, built a garage, and a heap of other improvements since I've had that stuff. I like to save inside stuff for winter, too. So, although I have two major projects I'm pecking away at, I saw spring coming and don't want another year to go by. I have everything but the tile for the walls, so at least doing the waterproof membrane and floor tile before another lull. But I think I'll go all the way because the thought of checking that off the list makes me feel really good.
I'm trying to stay focused on one project at a time but it's also good to have an alternative to keep moving forward when something hangs the one project up. Somewhere in there is a balance!
