Yeah, I hate changing the brake light switch. I dread doing any under the dash work. I'm not much of a contortionist these days. It would sure suck to install a POS brake switch only to need to changing it out again since the part was junk.
It's pretty safe to assume anything made of metal from China will e inferior. I'd like to be able to say better things about parts made in China. It this offends them there is only one solution, stop cheaping out and raise your quality standards. It seems they are only concerned with making the part look like the part it's supposed to be, put it on a ship, and screw 'em/what can they do about it?
Was this just one hose clamp that failed? Tried any others?
I don't know about the Jegs and Summit "branded" brake hoses someone else makes. In what way are they not interchangeable?
