I don't remember what year metal s10 fuel tank I bought(is a spectra premium GM16D), however the pump from the 2000 silverado 4.8 donor vehicle fit and works. I had to trim the orientation tap on top of pump housing. And I believe I needed to purchase a retainer, like a big C-clip.
