The rubber pieces in the 63-72 control arm shafts are not bushings. They are just for keeping dust and dirt out of the threads. The steel caps that screw on to the shaft is doing the "bushing" activity. Use plenty of the grease that you would use on your steering joints.
The swuarebody control arm shafts do use a rubber bushing, but the shaft is different than the older ones to account for the rubber bushing.
