'bout the only good thing having to buy basic from ICBC is they don't go by age, they go by your driving record, and they don't care if your driving a Lambo, Smart car or a Firebird, basic premiums are all pretty much the same. if it was insured by my son it would cost about $2500 a yr, as he has no driving record to speak of yet. so we put it in wifes name which is $900 a yr and pay an extra $180 to have him on the policy so he can drive it....or wreck it...  (actually that's not funny now that i think about it...) |

Here I think there is restrictions on when you can drive and how many passengers .
That $900 seems very reasonable
My youngest was a show off and didn't work well for him and then he got a motorcycle and that tested mom and dads nerves , we begged him to get rid of that thing.
