The truck I had was truly special. If I only knew then what I know now.
It was a 1970 GMC3500 Longhorn with 19.5 rims, HO72 Eaton rear with stock 5.14 gears, 350 engine with small rochester 2BBL carb, Muncie SM465 on the floor. Gross vehicle weight was 14,000 Lbs. All gone for the love of the bride.
I sold it about 18 years ago on Flea-bay. The real kicker: I only got $950 for
it. Ain't that some sh-t. It would cost me more for the rims today than what I got for the whole truck, which by the way, was driveable except for a broken intake valve spring. I put a 327 high performance under the hood that eventually developed the broken intake valve spring. Alot of misfiring thru the carb. That's why I parked it. It sat in the garage until I got tired of the old lady complaining about it. So I posted it on Flea-bay.
Fast forward to the present: I wish I had kept the contact info of the guy that bought it. Might have saved me some time in my searches.
Anyway, looking for the 19.5 rims to put on the C-20. It will give me the look I desire in fond remembrance of what I once had.
