Thanks for the '67 ads special-K, they put things into perspective. IMO, what Danny was getting at was the change from more boxy truck styling to more sleeker car styling. This '67 ad in particular nails it, even mentions " trucky" styling and designed to "grace your driveway". Clearly, GM was trying to say we now have a pickup that looks like a sleeker car welcome in any neighborhood. There are many similiarities between the '66 Olds and the '67 GM pickup.
