Passenger cars had the AC compressor on the passenger side through 1968. Due to the alternator being on the drivers side. Then in 1969 they flipped them and the AC compressor went to the drivers side. Also started using long water pumps in 69 (for small blocks). I think the trucks kept the short pumps and the older accessory configuration (so ac would be on the passenger side) through 1972 and then made the change in 1973
