heh, I just paid $500 for a truck that has a brand new machine shop fresh 283 and a tranny shop fresh th350, in it. The totals on the tranny and engine were over 2 grand. The downside was, the truck needs rockers, cab corners, fender patches, a new bed floor, floor pans. I did get new rockers, corners and some other new things with it tho.
