Re: SBC radiator

Here you can see an aftermarket v8 radiator in the correct location for a 63-66 truck. There's just the two brackets that the radiator sits in that is bolted to the top of the crossmember. You have the same crossmember for either a v8 or inline 6 truck, there's just two different places for the radiator to sit on. In the second picture, look at the frame rail next to the steering gear. The cut out section is where the previous owner hacked the frame to fit the v8 radiator in the inline 6 spot.

You can purchase the correct upper v8 bracket from most of the typical aftermarket sellers. I found an original one when I did mine, so I'm not sure how good the aftermarket ones are.

While you're at it, you can also purchase a new fan shroud and the correct side baffles to mount the shroud. You'll need to be running a short water pump to run the factory shroud.

I also installed a 65 Impala 5 blade fan and fan clutch on my truck. Works great
