I assume you mean you want to face off the manifold surface where it contacts the head????...not angle mill
Is that right..?... if so you could only do a minimal cut before youd get the flange to thin...and you wouldn't gain much that way anyhow... one of the options above might work..not sure how much clearance your looking for..
Also dont be afraid to do a frame notch for clearance..if you reinforce the area you cut out itll be fine
