One key detail to this Tilt-column pointer is you need to have a tight tilt coupler
(The Three screws that hold the two sections together)
When I bought my used Tilt-column, it didn’t have the Indicator in it, so I bought one,
It’s easy enough to install, just insert the bottom end into the slot, and put the grooved end onto the gear indicator housing.
If your column is loose, it’s Easy to break that needle, (like I did ) because it will bind on a loose column when you tilt it.
So now I have a new needle that I haven’t gotten around to installing yet. Maybe this weekend
