Went over to the rental house to make a measurement for our realtor. She wanted to know the distance from the house to the wall at the property line. A realtor showed up with prospective buyers just as I pulled up, so I waited about an hour until they left. Ain't supposed to talk to the owners...
Anyway, I made the measurement (11 feet and change, in case anyone is interested,
), then went inside to see what damages were incurred, and to turn the water on for the toilet in the bathroom that got new flooring. Made a basic security check.
They left the sliding glass door unlocked.
My wife called our realtor with that dimension, and mentioned that business with the door. Our realtor will spank the other one and put up notes to the effect that they should lock the place up before they leave. All we need is for a prospective buyer to leave a door unlocked and move into the place. Man, I'll sure be glad when this place is out of our hands. I'll be over there again, as usual, and if I have to stay over there to make sure it's locked up, I will.
