I don't know but wanted to agree with you! Mine was loaded with small cracks within 6 months or so!
I got mine from Chevyduty.
Funny thing, I looked at the one on the truck in my other thread (Enough to make a grown truck guy cry) and that one looks original with no cracks at all! That means the original 36 year old grommet is still going strong.
They sure don't make 'em like they used to.
