Everyone tells you how to adjust fore and aft but no one could tell me how to make it flush without boring out the hinge holes. As far as the gap goes I lined up the body lines at the front and rear of the doors first then welded a bead where the gap was too big and ground off where too close. If you grind through the metal on the edge you will need to tac weld back together. Lastly I took a flap disc got it close and finished with a large file.

Looks like you already got yours figured out, but you can bend the hinges to adjust the alignment with other panels. See post #17 here:
