I have just about converted from De Walt to Milwaukee 100%. Nothing against the De Walt tool itself but the batteries became so expensive to replace and I had no luck with the brand X knock-off batteries.

I would watch for a sale on De Walt.. eg. 1/2" drill motor, charger and 2 batteries $100 when 2 batteries were $90. Bottom line I had lots of drill motors and few workable batteries as the life span seemed awfully short for the price.

The Milwaukee batteries as a whole seem to have a much longer life span, 2/3rds the price and so far the cheap brand X batteries are performing well also.
