3 tree doesn't have holes for shifter alignment?

Went to adjust under the hood shifter
Do Not See or really feel a hole thru the arms for a drill bit
I almost feel maybe a indention or the top of a hole if those arms petruted more from the column
Will try to upload pics tomorrow
