4l60 aka 700R4 are the same length as 4l60E's up to 2001. After that they are 3/4" longer.
4L60E were manufactured after 1993.
The difference, between the 1993 to 2001 and the later versions, is the torque converters are larger 300mm vers 298mm.
The earlier 298mm transmission can be installed behind the 4l60E but sometimes requires a different flex plate. It depends on the LS motor installed.

All 700R4's/4L60E's will fit in a low or high hump C10.
