Re: Chemo or surgery
The truck is is better than average condition. I banged up the original hood when the truck got away from me in the garage from a bad starter safety switch. Totally my fault. The edge of work bench of course hit the the nose at worst possible height and killed an exceptionally good condition hood. Bent the front frame section of the hood and it was not something I could get back. I picked up 2 hoods for 100 bucks. The hood in question was very straight but was left out I bet on grass. The other hood has couple dings. I took the worst one relative to rust and am attempting to bring it back. Figure I can practice some on this one and if it turns out ok, then I use. If not, I have the second hood in much better rust condition and work on the dings. And if that doesn't work I'll drop a few more bucks on a hood that is in better shape with some experience under my belt as to how body work may not be my thing. This truck is a good driver that I often dig deep into just the fun of it. Being retired, I like to have a project to keep busy with. This hood has definitely done that.
