The red wire goes to a (single) spade connector in the fusebox it should be marked right on the fusebox, and the green wire should be for the light buit-in to the lighter, I was going to splice that wire into the heater light wire so when you turn your headlights on at night it will power up the cigar lighter lamp also (have not had time to do mine yet) there are other ways you could wire it (the lamp) but all you need is a 12 volt power source that has power when the ignition is "on" so you don't run down your battery, hope this helps, Doug
