I bought some of the old kits like that several years ago from brickset.
My Nephews would come over and build the new sets and I got addicted.
They grew up before I got them building ones like that in your 1st picture.
I think about 2016 they were to big to come over and play Lego's any more.
I still have several sets.
They are in unopen boxes .
Set 42008, 42009 and 42043 are just a few.
Of course I bought them for my Nephews

Also, I don't know why there is a set in there called the Yellow Submarine.
