I've always wondered what it would be like to have a Golden Retriever. I did for a short time as a teenager. One cold night I opened the door, and the cutest pup slid up the sidewalk toward me, how could I resist? I think it was female. Anyway, maybe 2 weeks later I was going to discipline for potty on the floor, front door was open, I scared the pup and she took off. Two days later a friend saw her in the tennis court (Condos) and closed the gate. The pound came, discovered she had distemper and immediately put her down.

A German Shepard/ Lady named Queen was my 1st experience.
She would cuddle with the Kittens from my (Childhood) cat Named Kitty.
I would stay in the Dog house with Each German Shepard we had during the Thunderstorms.
I was Young then.
They did Not like The Thunder at All.
Seems each of them had Hip issues.
My Golden Retriever (Dolly) is a Smaller retriever,
Hope this will minimize this issue.
