Re: 56 Chevy (RIP)

Did a little change up from suspension work. I've been looking for a king ranch rear seat to swap in but couldn't find anything close or in good condition. A buddy of mine was selling this '14 suburban 2nd row seat for $200, so I bought that and started making brackets for the swap. I cannibalized the suburban bracketry and welded them on to simple angle iron mounts using the original floor bolt holes and mounting locations. The seats and brackets are easily removable, retain all the suburban seat functions, and sit just right. So much more comfortable than the original bench seat. Plus cup holders! The leather color even looks good with the interior paint, however I may dye the leather to a more saddle type color....we'll see.
