SMOG check where I'm at is $58. No more dyno, they just plug into the diagnostic port. No failure codes, you're good to go. They do look things over. One year, the tech said I had a vacuum hose that looking soft and would likely fail next time. I replaced any hoses that looked like they needed it after that.
