I considered that possibility but this battery doesn't come with side posts.
Maybe somebody mistakenly added it because one would think that the positive post would be the one to be protected with a red plug but none was included.
I just tossed it and was having second thoughts about that idea.
Haven't even used the battery while driving yet so now would be the time to find out if I needed it.
