The bed has rejoined the rest of the truck. The boy and I did some work yesterday afternoon. After rigging up some 2x8's under the frame rails and some 2x6's hung perpendicular via some Simpson hangers, we used the engine hoist to lift the bed. It worked fantastic. The C10 has a little bit of a "Cali Lean" to it

. Maybe at some point I'll toss in another inch of drop spring in the front, but for now it's how it's going to roll. I tossed on the tailgate at the end of the night and didn't get a picture. I still need to install the handle, side latches, and links.
I also bolted in a
radiator overflow tank I got from Summit. It's for a 1975-79 Nova/Skylark (
insert Marissa Tomei
). I saw a couple of dudes install them in their C10's. It fits pretty well in the empty space next to the battery. I had to heat up the hose connection tube with a heat gun and bend it up slightly so the hose could run parallel to the wheel well. Only negative is that it only has (1) connection point. I might try and JB weld another mounting near the base where it meets the wheel well.
I just need some 2" fuel rated hose and 5/8 vent hose for the tank to filler neck and we can start it up.
