Here's some inspiration for you. This is my buddies 33 Chevy that was in like condition of yours, other than the body he just about made every part on this thing fenders, hood, etc.
He took Lazzy's metal shaping class which was a tremendous learning experience for him, not to mention the pride of making/modifying all the parts.
