Actually, i was thinking it was a 10 day grace...that's what a Harker Heights (tx) gudge told me when I got busted with a dead inspection and registration sticker on the GMC (this was in 2001) I had bought the truck 7 days before I got the tickets, so I just went to court with the same proof I showed the cop, the judge told me to go home and the cop had to pay the court costs.
Anyways...Do you have an O'rilies parts store in your area...or maybe a hi-lo? (I think all the hi-lo stores were bought by O'rilies) I know they used to keep thes fleet side tail lights in stock.
