If anyone is wondering what MS66 is referring to in the first quote in his post above, it is the link to adjusting the GM steering boxes. I will post it again in this post....

Good Video. I did not remove my steering box to adjust it but I did jack my truck up until the front wheels were off the ground.
Having a spanner wrench to make the upper adjustment makes it a lot easier.
