I'm not positive,but I think the 65' 283 truck engine was either a dark blue or black,maybe someone else knows for sure.Pretty sure the car 283's were orange,we had a 63' Impala a long time ago,and I remember the orange 283.I have a 1965 truck owner's manual at home,I beleive it has the engine colors in it.I'll try to remember to check it tonight.
