I built a cab stand with some scaffolding material. I weled it so that the cab supports sit on it. It lifts my cab about 2 feet off of the ground and is a lifesaver for working under the cab. as far as the welding. remove the rockers first. the inner rockers will probably have to be done also.cut the floor out and mark the patch with about an extra half inch all around. fine shpe the piece so you get a good weld and weld the floor. next do the inner rockers and then the outer rockers. I recently redid the floors in my cab.
