Those big 3.5" tips are what's making it sound that way. See, I'm just going to run 2.5" piping either dump or to the side. I was considering going with 3" tips if I go with the side exit, but I don't want it TOO loud.
There's a lifted 02 GMC Sierra here at my work, and whoever drives it, it dumb...they have a flowmaster on it (single in/dual out) and it has dumps...well, the dumps are CHROME, and they're literally 4" EACH! That thing is so stupidly loud it's not funny. But it's not like a rumbly-loud, it's more of just a tone-loud.
