There's a lifted 02 GMC Sierra here at my work, and whoever drives it, it dumb...they have a flowmaster on it (single in/dual out) and it has dumps...well, the dumps are CHROME, and they're literally 4" EACH! That thing is so stupidly loud it's not funny. But it's not like a rumbly-loud, it's more of just a tone-loud.
my friend had a lifted jeep with a 5.9. he has a flowmaster 40 with a turndown. it sounds good, but its not very clean. a turndown will hit the road, then your bed and so on till it exits your bed. overall they are louder than running a tail pipe, but it just doesnt sound as good IMO. my vote is for the tail pipe, but turndowns cost way less
